Phosphorescent Obsession

I have a confession to make. I am obsessed with Black light reactive paint, otherwise known as phosphorescent. It is so bright and beautiful! So for the last five years i have been using these beautiful acrylic colors to create mandalas. For the last three years i have been secluded in the mountain and reconnecting with nature. It is time to update my website with my most recent art.

Recently i have started watching fluid art videos on YouTube. This is a fascinating art style that has an almost Jackson Pollock experimentation to it. All the artists on YouTube come up with beautiful bright pieces in less than 20 mins. So of course I had to try my hand at this style.

The first day i had only floetrol, silicone, and some cups. I made four pieces that were ok, i ended up covering up 3 of them because the colors mixed and the canvas showed through parts. I learned my lesson and started making sure to not only prime the canvas but add extra paint on the edges for stretching the paint on the canvas. Now my pieces are starting to look awesome. Like a twisted Picasso pictures are coming out of the fluid by no fault of my own.

Here is a few of my favorites so far. . .
